The forefront of Bach performance! The 6th edition of Rademann's "BACH.VISION"! VISION" is a major project organized by the International Bach Academy Stuttgart, which will perform Bach's cantatas in chronological order starting in 2023, 300 years after his Leipzig period (1723-1724)! The series of 23 concerts will be held in Stuttgart and its suburbs, and recordings will be made in conjunction with the concerts. The series is notable for its use of the latest research based on the "Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis (BWV3)" (3rd edition), revised and edited by Christine Blanken, Christoph Wolff, and Peter Volney, all leading figures in Bach research, and published in 2022. The Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis (BWV3) / Catalogue of Bach's Works, 3rd ed. This sixth volume contains works performed in Leipzig between December 25, 1723 (BWV 243.1) and January 6, 1724 (BWV 65), the Nativity.Magnificat BWV 243.1 (243a), performed on Christmas Day 1723, is the first draft of Magnificat BWV 243, the revised version commonly performed today, and includes four German-language insertions for Christmas services. The instrumentation is also adapted to the Christmas atmosphere, with recorders used instead of flutes. (1/2) HAENSSLER.
