Winner of Munich International Music Competition, "Aoi Trio" releases Dvorak & Martineau on German Hensler label! Aoi Trio", the winner of the piano trio division at the 67th Munich International Music Competition, will release an album containing Martineau's Piano Trio No. 1 "Five Pieces" and Dvorak's Piano Trio No. 3 on the Hensler label in Germany! The first Japanese group to win the competition, the most difficult of its kind, they met at Tokyo University of the Arts and Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy and formed the group in 2016. The name of the group, "Aoi" comes from the first letters of the three players' surnames, Akimoto, Ogawa, and Ito, and was named in sympathy with the flower language, "great ambition and abundant harvests". This piano trio is attracting worldwide attention for its extremely rich music! This album features Dvorak and Martineau, two representative Czech works. The dense and exquisite performance is a masterpiece. The performance is beautiful down to the smallest detail, and we can say that this is the birth of a new masterpiece recording of this music.
