Description:
The album of the master Pavel Sporzl! Album "Paganiniana" including world premiere recording! Violinist Pavel Spörzl has captivated audiences all over the world with his free and unrestricted command of the violin. His new album on the Hensler label is a parade of superb virtuosity! The album, entitled "Paganiniana," invites you into the world of Sporzl's unaccompanied violin. Športl studied at the Juilliard School under Itzhak Perlman and Dorothy DeLay, and has won prizes at competitions around the world. He is also known as a virtuoso who performed in the season opening concert of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Ashkenazy and was acclaimed as "one of the best players in 100 years. Despite his flamboyant appearance, Spörzl's greatest appeal lies in his correct, orthodox style and lyrical expression. The works, which cannot be performed without solid technique, are played with great emotion. This is the world premiere recording of Josef Slavik's (1806-1833) Caprice. Slavik was a violin virtuoso who was praised as the "Paganini of Bohemia" and the successor to Paganini before Ernst. It is also very significant that Spörzl recorded the world premiere of Slavík. Šporzl composed a variation based on the theme of the Czech national anthem, "Where is My Home? It is a work that shows his love for his own country. Paganiniana," the title of the album, is a variation composed by Natan Milshteyn (1903-1992), a famous violinist of the 20th century. It is now an essential part of the violinist's repertoire. As a bonus track, the album also includes the cadenza from Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1, composed by the renowned violinist Jan Kubelík, father of Raphael Kubelík (Kubelík)! This album is the result of Spörzl's long and devoted efforts. The instrument used is, of course, the blue violin. This violin was made by Jan Špidren, a leading Czech violin maker, in 2005, and Športl was so fascinated by this instrument that he bought it in 2006 and has been using it as his favorite instrument ever since.
