A great album with a rare Bizet arrangement of "Serenade of Don Giovanni"! Luiza Borak, who was much talked about for her advanced pianism and maniacal selection of music in her previous album "In Praise of Enesco", is a veteran of Mozart, born in Romania in 1968, and this time she tries her hand at Mozart. In addition to the three original masterpieces, this extravagant disc includes Liszt's recollections of "Don Giovanni," which is known as a difficult piece, and Chopin's variations for piano and orchestra on the theme of "Mistress, please take my hand" from "Don Giovanni. A maniacal one, unique to Borak, is Bizet's arrangement of "Serenade from Don Giovanni" for piano. Bizet made various arrangements for living when he was young, but he arranged the entire "Don Giovanni" for piano solo (without singing). Bizet was so skilled on the piano that he even surprised Liszt, and this arrangement is extremely pianistic. The title of the album is "Love Mozart", but it is definitely "In praise of Mozart".
