The popular and talented conductor Dan Ettinger has recorded Mozart's two G minor symphonies with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra. He also studied piano, conducting, and voice at the Rubin School of Music and at Tel Aviv University, where he was a baritone in leading roles and chorus roles in opera. In 1999, he made his conducting debut at the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival. As Barenboim's treasured son, he served as Kapellmeister and Assistant Music Director of the Berlin State Opera, and subsequently appeared at the world's major theaters, including the Bavarian State Opera and the Vienna State Opera. He made his first visit to Japan in 2004, became the Permanent Conductor of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in April 2010, and was appointed as the orchestra's laureate conductor in April 2015.
