Description:
The 13th edition of the complete Schumann solo works by Ulrich includes "Forest Scene"! Florian Uhrich is a promising young German pianist. In 2010, the bicentennial of Schumann's birth, Ulrich began recording the complete works for solo piano, a series that has been well received not only because it features recordings by one of the most talented pianists, but also because it is a "true complete set" with many world premiere recordings. The 13th collection includes Scenes in the Forest. Scenes in the Forest is a late work consisting of nine pieces. The overall mood of this collection, which depicts nature, is dark and gloomy, and the title foreshadows a looming catastrophe. The world premiere recording of Butterfly in D major is also included in this collection. Florian Ulrich performs this masterpiece with great skill and expressiveness. King International
