JOHN DAVIS is a Bay Area-based sound artist and filmmaker, and this is his first release on STUDENTS OF DECAY since his full-length album Ask The Dust, released in 2013. The beautiful soundscape is based on a pastoral feeling firmly rooted in the forests and beaches of Northern California that underlies DAVIS' work, and is a minimalistic combination of transparent synthesis, meditative vocal sampling, and a prepared piano.
