Wugi, a member of (G)I-DLE, who achieved four consecutive "PAK (Perfect All Kill)" on the major Korean music charts with his second full-length album "2" released in January 2024, is releasing his first solo album "YUQ1" that truly embodies his unique colors. Having previously proven his unlimited growth potential through the digital single "A Page," Wugi has built a diverse musical career, receiving love calls from numerous top artists at home and abroad with his charming tone. Ugi's first mini-album, "YUQ1," contains a glimpse of "Ugi" itself, as can be seen from the album title. Ugi's free-spirited, yet sensitive artistic appearance of the album, which includes the letter "I" in Ugi's name is represented by the number "1," visually expresses the strong confidence in the first album. The title track "FREAK" is a song filled with youthful energy of Ugi's own, and presents a special in the boring, repetitive routine.In particular, the unique charm of "FREAK (Freak)" is sung with honest lyrics such as "She's a Certified Freak" and "I'm a Certified Freak," revealing that the subject of the song so far is actually "Ugi" himself. This song, full of Ugi's confidence to admit his differences from others and rather digest them in his own unique and dignified way, leaves the listener with a fresh sense of liberation. (G)I-DLE's group album also composed a number of songs, including the title track "FREAK" and the majority of the songs in this album as a lyricist and composer by the name of the first solo album authenticity and completeness was raised. In addition, (G)I-DLE Minni, pH-1, Lexie Liu, featuring a variety of artists, such as Lexie Liu, more diverse genres and stories with a musical color of Ugi only built. The first mini-album "YUQ1" is a confident expression of the face of the oranger artist Ugi. I hope all the "FREAKs" around the world will proudly sing with me to the world, and today, the lovely eccentric Ugi starts a fun party for the lonely "FREAKs".
