There, Prince Ivan captures the beautiful “Firebird.” However, the Firebird offers him one of her golden feathers, allowing Ivan to escape as she flies away. The prince, attempting to rescue the princess held captive by Kaschei, is captured by the demon’s minions and is about to be enchanted. At that moment, he waves the feather he received, and the Firebird appears to save him. After defeating the demon, the prince marries the princess, and they live happily ever after. That is the story. Greta Hodgkinson stars as the “Firebird.” She captivates the audience with her expressive performance and light, nimble dancing that makes full use of her long limbs. The beauty of Alexander Antonievich, who retired in 2014, also stands out. The ensemble performance of the National Ballet of Canada is another highlight, offering powerful and captivating visuals.
