Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition, etc. by Zdorenko from Ukraine, who also performed with Abbado! Olga Zdorenko was born in Ukraine. She studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Eugeni Marinin. In 2001, she graduated with honors from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In 2001, he graduated with honors from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he won numerous competitions in Italy. He has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Abbado, as well as with many major orchestras around the world. He is currently based in Italy. Zdorenko plays all the pieces with a very neat expression. The paintings of his close friend and painter Hartmann, who motivated him to compose Pictures at an Exhibition, are rather pale in impression. The performance is in keeping with this fact, and it recreates Mussorgsky's mental image of the day of the exhibition. Both the coupling Scriabin and Kabalevsky are selected and performed in a way that carries on that atmosphere. They are considered to have great technique, and this is used to good effect in their tones, resulting in a pleasing finish. Tobu Shoji Co.
