This performance is also very lively and you can feel the enthusiasm of the day. The very lucid playing gives us a sense of Brahms as a young man. Pianist Tomassi was born in Naples in 1970. He studied under Franco Scala at the Conservatory of Verdi and the Conservatory of Imola, and in 1992 won the Grand Prix at the Rubinstein International Competition. Pieranunzi, violin, has won distinctions at the Paganini Competition in Genoa and the Tibor Varga International Competition. Fiore, viola, studied at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia. She has performed with many well-known artists, including Accardo, Belkin, and soprano Renata Scott.He is a member of Accardo's quartet and has played in many Italian chamber orchestras at the invitation of Accardo. Squitieri studied at the Campobasso Conservatory and the Santa Cecilia Conservatory. He studied with Ionescu, Ardulescu, Demenga, and others.
