Born in Munich, Julia Fischer began studying the violin at age 3 and later took up the piano as well. Her talent blossomed almost immediately, and she is a prodigy who has won multiple international competitions in both violin and piano. She went on to build a successful career, and with her Russian album—her debut release on the PENTATONE label—she burst onto the world stage. While Fischer captivates audiences with her solid technique and passionate expression, her performance of Mozart showcases a lustrous, beautiful tone, and her rich timbre can truly be called a one-of-a-kind artistic achievement.
