Like AYRA02, this is the latest in the series "The Cabinet II Project," which presents music from the collection of Pisendel, a renowned violinist of the Dresden court, recently discovered in "Stack II" of the Saxon State Library and the Technical University Library of Dresden, Germany. This work includes four little-known violin sonatas by Johann Georg Pisendel, one of the great masters of the 18th century, who studied with Torelli and Vivaldi and was a friend of Bach and Telemann. Javier Lupianez received his Bachelor's degree in baroque violin from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Holland, under Enrico Gatti, and his Master's degree after discovering new works by Vivaldi under Gatti's guidance.In 2013, he formed the period ensemble Scaramuccia to discover the unknown Baroque repertoire, and in 2018, he and the members of Scaramuccia founded Snakewood, a record label and sheet music publisher specializing in Baroque music.
