A collection of brass band works performed by the Corey Band. The title track is “Broadheath” by Philip Spark, a piece composed for the 2024 Elgar International Brass Band Summer School. Although structured in a traditional march form, the piece showcases Philip Spark’s distinctive style—particularly in the trio section, which features the opening theme from Elgar’s Symphony No. 1, a fitting tribute to the summer school’s namesake, Edward Elgar. In addition, the album features four brass band pieces by Thierry Dulluyer, a composer whose wind ensemble works are rapidly gaining popularity. It also includes film music selections such as “Journey to the Past” (from *Anastasia*) and “Can’t Wait to Be King” (from the Disney film *The Lion King*). —making this album a recommended choice not only for repertoire selection but also as a favorite to listen to for pleasure.
