Gruppo Montebello presents the sixth installment of its popular chamber ensemble arrangement series! Webern's "Passacaglia" by Henk Guitart, a specialist of the New Vienna School! Anna Luzia Richter sings Webern as well! The "Private Performance Society" was founded by Schoenberg in 1918 to perform symphonies and orchestral works by his contemporaries, arranging them into chamber music formations. In the end, a total of 113 concerts were held. The "Music of the Private Performance Society" is the work of Henk Guitart, a specialist of the New Vienna School of Music who founded the Schoenberg Ensemble and participated in many recordings as a violist of the Schoenberg Quartet, and Gruppo Montebello, an ensemble project by Guitart, which was established by Schoenberg's friends and the Schoenberg Quartet in 1972. This popular series features various chamber music versions arranged by Schoenberg's colleagues and pupils, and is a modern re-creation of the music of the "Private Performance Society" by theThis sixth edition includes not only Reger's "Romantic Suites" arranged by Schoenberg, the founder of the "Private Performance Society," but also Webern arranged by Henk Guitart and Gruppo Montebello, who specialize in the New Vienna School.
