Muslum Gurses

Description:

One of the leaders of the Turkish popular music "arabesque" scene is Muslyum Gülses (1953-2013), born in Şanlıurfa in southeastern Turkey in 1953, who moved to Adana, a city in south-central Turkey, when he was three years old. Despite the hardships of his life, Muslım experienced various occupations as a young boy, and his love of singing led him to enter a singing contest in 1967, when he was 14 years old, and he was crowned the winner. This led him to appear on a Turkish folk radio program, and he began calling himself "Gülses," meaning "loud voice," from that time on. In 1968, he made his record debut. In 1968, he made his record debut, and the following year, he entered Istanbul, the center of Turkish music, with a hit record of 300,000 copies. In the early 70's, he introduced the arabesque style of popular music, which was just emerging at that time, and ensured his popularity. Three original albums by the multi-talented Muslüm Gürseth have now been reissued straight from BONUS MUZIK. Baal Januk" was released in 1979. It is an early masterpiece that combines the youthful voice of Müsslüm, who was still in his twenties, excellent barrama playing, and an exotic orchestral sound. The next work, "Magiden Bill Demet," was produced in 1988. The arabesque sound of this album is authentic, and Muslum's singing is direct and direct. Hüjünlü Günler" is a work from 1990. It is characterized by the understated use of percussion instruments and other sounds that evoke the arabesque atmosphere of the olden days. (From the manufacturer's information)
