Turkish Folk Dance - Bingöl Located in the Eastern Anatolia region of the Republic of Turkey, Bingöl Province borders Erzincan and Erzurum in the north, Muş in the east, Diyarbakır in the south, and Elazır and Tunjeri in the west. The majority ethnic group in the region is Zaza, and the Zazaki language, based on Turkish/Kurdish, is mainly spoken. This work contains the traditional dance music of the region. The music is simple, consisting of zurna (a double-reed woodwind instrument) and davul (a large double-sided drum), and is sometimes accompanied by yoo-hoo-like shouts.
