Marina Rebecca’s Commemorative Album for Her Visit to Japan! *La Traviata* sung by the greatest Violetta of our time! PrimaClassic is a new independent label focused on opera and art songs. For its third release, the beautiful Latvian soprano Marina Rebeka—who captivated listeners with her magnificent voice on the label’s debut release (PRIMA001)—returns. Marina Rebeka was born in Riga, Latvia. After studying music in Latvia, she graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She further honed her skills at the Salzburg International Summer Academy and the Rossini Academy in Pesaro, and has earned a worldwide reputation as a leading interpreter of Verdi, Rossini, Mozart, and was selected as the first Artist-in-Residence of the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra for the 2017–18 season. To date, she has performed the title role of *La Traviata* at major opera houses worldwide, including the Royal Opera House, the MET, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris Opera, La Scala in Milan, and other major opera houses around the world, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Violettas of our time, both in name and in practice. Marina Rebeka has now recorded *La Traviata* with an orchestra and choir from her homeland of Latvia. To commemorate Marina Rebecca’s performance as Violetta in the November 2019 production of *La Traviata* at the Verdi Theater in Trieste, we are urgently releasing this commemorative album for her visit to Japan.
