The third hybrid SACD and MQA-CD release by Eudora, a Spanish high quality sound label, features Javier Raso, a pianist born in Fribourg, Switzerland in 1975. He studied piano and composition at the Salamanca Conservatory in Spain and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, and has performed in numerous solo recitals, chamber ensembles, and with orchestras as a musician capable of creating unique musical experiences from a combination of spontaneity, improvisation, and a deep understanding of scores. This Schubert & Schumann album is released with the support of pianist Giuseppe Colon, who has released three albums as an Eudora artist (and is a respected friend of Javier Raso). Javier Raso's passionate and outstanding performance of Schubert's moving final piano sonata (No. 21, D.960), written only weeks before his untimely death, and the Davidic League Dances, a romantic weaving together of both Schumann's own musical and personal qualities, are presented here. The program will be presented in a passionate and outstanding performance by Javier Raso.The format is a hybrid of SACD Stereo/Multichannel and MQA-CD, and the CD layer can be played back as a high-resolution sound source by using MQA-compatible equipment.
