Description:
The Bill Evans Trio's completely unreleased recordings are now available! This CD contains the complete recording of the concert in Kongsberg, Norway in 1970, which is not even recorded in the discography! Recorded in stereo and mastered from the original master tapes! Members:Bill Evans (piano), Eddie Gomez (bass), Marty Morell (drums)Kongsberg Jazz Festival at Kongsberg Kino, Kongsberg, Norway, Friday, June 26, 1970 .★ Completely unreleased live recording made at the Jazz Festival at Kongsberg Kino, Kongsberg, Norway on Friday, June 26, 1970.A remarkable work of clear sound quality mastered from the original stereo recording master tapes! Finally released with the cooperation of Bill Evans Estate and the powerful tag team of Elemental Music's Jazz Team and Zev Feldman, the jazz award-winning "Jazz Detective"! This rare live recording was recently discovered in the archives of the Kongsberg Jazz Festival and was offered for official release by Elemental Music, which has a particularly strong track record with Bill Evans discoveries in recent years. Although there is a record of the Bill Evans Trio appearing at the Jazz Festival in 1970, it has long been widely believed that this concert was never recorded. This is a rare first release of this concert, which does not appear in any of Bill Evans' discography. The trio consists of Bill Evans (p), Eddie Gomez (b), and Marty Morrell (ds). This album and "Montreux II" (CTI) with the same members are the most famous works recorded in the same year, 1970.Other works include "From Left to Right" (MGM), in which Evans played the Fender Rhodes electric piano for the first time, which is still controversial to this day. This is also the longest running Evans Trio (1968-1975), and was the same trio that visited Japan for the first time in 1973. (1/2)
