The popular compilation "Cumbia Cumbia Cumbia!", featuring only cumbia floor bangers from the vast archives of Fuentes and Codiscos, is a new release from Cumbia Cumbia! is a new release from Peru's prestigious Discos MAG! The label has been releasing polo since its founding, but is also known for having already sold records by Lucho Belmudez, a Buenos Aires native who was a leading figure in promoting orchestral polo and cumbia in 1957. This album is a collection of only floor-oriented music from MAG's releases between 1964 and 1987. From ensembles with orchestras to original cumbia and songs featuring Peruvian-style electric guitars, this album is a collection of songs by Caracas-born Hugo Blanco, Tulio Enrique Leon, Los Teenagers, and Amparito Jimenez, all of whom are full of individuality. The floor is filled with lively cumbia that will color the floor. The 28 tracks range from DJ favorites to rarities that are almost impossible to find on original vinyl, and are both danceable and ethnically scholarly.
