Rejoice! The long-awaited world premiere reissue of "EM SOM MAIOR (1965)" by the Sambraza Trio, considered one of the best samba jazz masterpieces of all time! The samba-jazz (jazz-bossa) movement produced many top musicians and famous combos, including the Tamba Trio, Tenorio Junior, Manfredo Festo Trio, Bossa Torres, and the great Sergio Mendes. Although its popularity was short-lived, lasting only about three years from 1964, the works left behind continue to attract not only Brazilian music collectors, but also jazz fans, DJs, and other music fans across genres. The Sambraza Trio's "EM SOM MAIOR (1964)" is considered one of the finest works left behind from the samba-jazz movement. Cesar Camargo Mariano left the former Sambalanzo Trio.The trio was led by Hermeto Pascual as a replacement pianist, and included Hermeto, Airto (Airto) Moreira on drums, who later moved to the US and was discovered by Miles Davis, and Umberto, a leading samba jazz bass player. The band was a dream come true, with a strong drum solo right from the start. The song "Sambrasa" has a strong drum solo from the beginning, "Arrastao" features flute and harmonica and accelerates from the beginning, and "Joao Sem Braco" is so killer that it is a must-have. The musicians' playing skills, the sharpness of the ensemble, and the flashes of improvisation by each of them are all top-notch. Although it has been reissued once on CD, this is the first time it has been reissued on vinyl. The original version of this album is not available on the market, and even if it were, it would be sold out immediately.
