La Venexiana's Dindia! The beauty of the "Venerable Amarilli" is haunting. Dindia (c.1582-c.1629), who left eight volumes of madrigales in his lifetime, is a composer whose works are full of mysteries, but it is said that when he wrote this first volume in 1606, he was still traveling around the courts of Italy before he became the court musician to Duke Carlo Emanuele I of Savoia in Turin.
