Federico Guglielmo and Federico Maria Sardelli's second Maude Antiquo Glossa! Recreation of Vivaldi's enigmatic Serenata! Federico Maria Sardelli, Italian flutist, conductor, musicologist, and historian, who has produced many valuable albums including newly discovered works by Vivaldi, presents his second Glossa with the Maud Antiquo, an ancient music orchestra he founded. (This is the second recording of "Glossa" by Federico Maria Sardelli with the ancient music orchestra he founded, "Mode Antiquo". The genre of serenata, also known as "nocturne" in Japanese, is ideally performed at night under a clear sky (serrano), and this has been the case in the past. Italian serenatas of the Baroque period shared various characteristics with operas, oratorios, and chamber cantatas. Vivaldi's Serenata in three voices RV690 is also known by titles such as "My heart, my poor heart," from the opening lyric "Mio cor, povero cor. The only surviving document is an autograph score in the collection of the Biblioteca Nazionale di Torino, and it is the least known of Vivaldi's serenatas, and in some ways, the most enigmatic. It is a love story in the form of arias and recitative between the charming shepherd Alcindo, the fairy Eurilla, and Nietzsche, beginning idyllically and ending dramatically.Following the previous release (GCD924601), the virtuoso Federico Guglielmo, who was the principal violinist of the New Italian Ensemble for two generations along with his father, Giovanni Guglielmo, participates on violin again this time.
