His third solo album "Orlando: Love, Jealousy, Madness" is an ambitious collection of various operatic arias based on the epic poem "Orlando Furioso" published in 1615 by Ludovico Ariosto, an Italian poet during the Renaissance. This is an ambitious program. This heroic adventure tale of love (amore), jealousy (gelosia), and madness (follia) was a huge hit throughout Europe, including Handel's "Alcina," "Ariodante," and "Orlando," as well as works by Vivaldi, Porpora, and Stefani, Dozens of operas have been based on this lyric poem.
