Following their “Italian Cantatas,” this new recording of Handel’s music features the serenata “Achi, Galatea and Polyphemus,” written in 1708 during his stay in Naples for the wedding celebrations of the local Duke of Alvito! ■In this Handel serenade based on Greek mythology, the three soloists playing key roles are Roberta Invernizzi, the passionate diva of the Italian early music scene; Blandine Stasiukiewicz of France, who enjoys the deep trust of conductors such as Minkowski and Nijke, and Lisandro Abadie of Argentina! Handel’s overflowing talent from his youth blossoms in the present day through Bonizzoni’s meticulous musical research, historical authenticity, and collaboration with La Risonanza and the soloists.
