Description:
The latest work by the geniuses Cavina and La Venexiana! Monteverdi's opera "The Crowning of Poppea" is now available! Claudio Cavina and La Venexiana have completed the complete collection of Monteverdi's "Madrigale", and have continued to take on "Orfeo", "The Ethical and Religious Forest", and "The Play of Music", continuing their journey into the depths of Monteverdi's music.La Venexiana's next Monteverdi, which is gaining recognition and fame in Japan thanks to its appearance at La Folle Journée au Japon 2009 and the success of the Monteverdi series by Glossa, is "The Crowning of Poppea," a masterpiece from the last years of La Venexiana's career, premiered 35 years after "Orfeo. The Crowning of Poppea," a masterpiece from his final years, premiered 35 years after "Orfeo! Monteverdi's "The Crowning of Poppea", which depicts the ancient Roman Emperors Nero and Poppea, has been handed down to the present day in the form of two manuscripts, the so-called "Venetian manuscript" and the "Neapolitan manuscript", since the composer himself left no autograph score. The true form of the work is still veiled today. The "Neapolitan manuscript," which is said to be more musically superior, was used by the geniuses Cavina and Venexiana for their performance of "Poppea's Crowning. The "Neapolitan Manuscript" is a "master-disciple collaboration" that brings together the many talents that flourished in Italy at the time, with Monteverdi's own music and the music of his students Francesco Cavalli (1602-1676), Benedetto Ferrari (c.1603-1681), Francesco Sacrati (1605-1650), and others ( The music of Benedetto Ferrari (c.1603-1681) and Francesco Sacrati (1605-1650) was added to this work, making it a "master-disciple collaboration" that brought together the many talents that were flourishing in Italy at the time. The sopranos Emanuela Galli and Roberta Mamelli, who are shining stars in the contemporary classical music scene, are cast as Poppea and Nerone (Nero) in "The Crowning of Poppea," performed by the genius Cavina. This is a must-see disc that should not be missed! Tokyo M-Plus
