The third collection of Corti and Il Pomo d'Oro's highly acclaimed Bach harpsichord concertos includes three concertos for two harpsichords and Corti's reconstruction of BWV 1059! The third collection of Bach's harpsichord concertos by Francesco Corti and Il Pomo d'Oro. In the Concerto for Two Harpsichords, the second harpsichord is played by the Italian soloist and ensemble leader, Francesco Corti, and the second harpsichord is played by the Italian soloist and ensemble leader, Il Pomo d'Oro, who has also made a name for himself as an ensemble leader. In the concerto for two harpsichords, the second harpsichordist is the young Italian harpsichordist Andrea Buccarella, who has also emerged as a soloist and ensemble leader in Italy. In BWV 1059, Corti recreates Cantata No. 35 as a concerto for harpsichord, oboe, and strings in a reworked version that Corti himself developed over several years in discussions with musicologists. The strings are chosen to be a small ensemble with one member in each part.The first (KKC-6240/ PTC-5186837) and second (KKC-6323/ PTC-5186889) collections have received worldwide acclaim for Corti's inspired and vivid solo playing, Il Pomo d'Oro's spontaneous ensemble, and performances that make use of the latest research results. The third collection of Corti and Il Pomo d'Oro was also highly acclaimed in Japan, where it received a special prize from the Recording Arts Society of Japan.
