Arabella Miho Steinbacher is a beautiful violinist who combines popularity and ability. The New York Times has described her as "a balance of lyricism and passion - her strengths lie above all in her finely honed technique and beautifully versatile tone. This album is the second of Mozart's violin concertos and the first Mozart recording in eight years, since the first one (PTC-5186479), recorded in 2013, which contained the Violin Concertos Nos. 3-5. As on the first recording, the Lucerne Festival String Ensemble (Lucerne String Ensemble, Lucerne Festival String Ensemble), led by Daniel Dodds, will perform with the orchestra! The second recording includes the Violin Concertos No. 1 and No. 2, as well as the Adagio and Rondo for violin and orchestra. Steinbacher's Mozart is one of the best in the world, with its elegance and luster. The concerto features a cadenza composed by Wolfgang Schneiderhan, the founder of the orchestra. The audience will be able to enjoy the full and rich Mozart under the great relationship of trust between the orchestra and Steinbacher.The recording also features a Stradivarius "Ex Benno Walter" from 1716. Benno Walter (1847-1901), the violinist to whom Richard Strauss' violin concerto was dedicated, plays joyfully on an instrument that belonged to a performer deeply associated with a composer whom Steinbacher admired. The recording is not only a masterpiece of performance, but it is also a recording by the PENTATONE label's proud technical team, including Eldo Groot and Jean-Marie Heysen.
