Israeli pianist Inon Barnatan, who is gaining recognition in Europe and the U.S., has released his first collection of piano concertos [Piano Concertos No. 1, 3, 4 and Triple Concerto (KKC-6102 / PTC-5186817)] and second collection [Piano Pentatone's highly anticipated third album is titled "Suite of Time Travelers". The third and highly anticipated album from PENTATONE, entitled "Time Traveler's Suite," features a "reconstruction" of suites based on the concept of a journey through time and space, from Baroque works by J.S. Bach, Handel, Rameau, and Couperin to modern and contemporary works by Ravel, Barber, Thomas Adès, and Ligeti. The final piece is Brahms' "Variations on a Theme by Handel and Fugue.Born in Tel Aviv in 1979, Barnatan began playing the piano at age 3 and made his orchestral debut at age 11. He has studied with Victor Delevianko, Maria Curcio, Christopher Elton, and Leon Fleischer. During his three-season tenure with the New York Philharmonic, Barnatan performed concertos and chamber music with the orchestra, and expanded his activities around the United States. Barnatan's appeal lies in his colorful piano tone.
