Rattle plays the piano with Kojenner as a married couple! The album, entitled "Soirée" (Evening), is an evening of ensemble fun with friends, and Kozenner sings some of his most beloved songs with his trusted partner. The selection of songs is also outstanding. Kozenar and the ensemble will sing and perform songs by Brahms, Dvořák, Janacek, Chausson, Ravel, R. Strauss, and Stravinsky with warmth. Also included is Dvořák's "Songs My Mother Taught Me. Kozenár's love for his native Czech Republic is also evident in this remarkable recording. This is Rattle's debut disc as a pianist, as well as a disc on which his beloved wife Kožená enjoyed the music with her friends. King International
