Description:
The motive of destiny resounds--. A new Beethoven is born through Herreweghe's period approach! Philippe Herreweghe, a world-renowned authority on ancient music performance, has given numerous masterpieces with the Collegium Vocale, Chapelle Royal, and the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées. The second volume of the complete Beethoven cycle, which has received a tremendous response for its incorporation of the period approach cultivated in his long musical career into modern orchestral performance, is now available from Pentatone! The second Beethoven complete cycle, which has received a great deal of acclaim for its performance of the modern orchestra's approach to Beethoven's music, is now available from Pentatone! The performance is, of course, by the Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra, the same as in the previous release. He has been the Music Director of the Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra since 1997, and his visit to Japan in 2005 to perform Beethoven's complete symphonies is still fresh in our memory. The two recordings of No. 5 and No. 8 from Pentatone were made in June 2007 at the Fritz Philips Music Center in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. 10 years after his appointment as Music Director in 1997, the relationship between Herreweghe and the Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra has matured to an unprecedented level. The relationship between Herreweghe and the Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra has matured to an unparalleled level. The new results of the challenge to Beethoven, to which Helleweghe devotes himself wholeheartedly, are here to be proved. Tritonus, the world's best recording team led by Andreas Neubronner, was in charge of the recording of Herreweghe and the Royal Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra. The recordings were made on June 4 and 9-10, 2007.[Comment provided by Tokyo M-Plus Co.
