Description:
The latest 2017 remastered meter masterpiece, Puccini's "Daughter of the West," is now available on SACD Hybrid! !!!SACD Hybrid Disc. Meta's 1977 recording of Puccini's opera "The Daughter of the West" is now available in PENTATONE's remastered series! Daughter of the West" is about the pure love between Minnie, a saloon girl, and Johnson (the leader of a band of pirates and pursued by Sheriff Lance) in a mining town in the American West during the Gold Rush era, and uses melodies and rhythms from American folk songs. Neblett's beautiful voice and Domingo's powerful singing in his prime are impressive, and the colorful, dynamic, and passionate performance developed by Mehta, who was in his 40s at the time. The recording was made by Günter Breest, a rigid producer who supported the golden age of Deutsche Grammophon. Brest is also famous as a producer with Karajan and Abbado, and has left behind many masterpieces. This is a masterful performance and a great recording, and it is a great pleasure to hear it on SACDHybrid with careful remastering by Polyhymnia International! King International
