Maestro Hans Zimmer's first American studio score proved essential to the enduring success of this acclaimed drama, for which the composer was nominated for an Academy Award. Vibrant, dramatic and heartfelt, Zimmer's early foray into the big-league is a perfect match for this joyous and moving drama, featuring unforgettable performances by the legendary Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. The composer's music for Rain Man has also stood the test of time, as this new score soundtrack reissue undeniably proves. Produced by Stephane Humez and mastered and edited by Maxime Marion under the supervision of Hans Zimmer, the CD is a special limited edition of 1500 copies and includes as bonus tracks a demo of the 2000 concert suite, source cues and alternate cues, and two additional tracks from the original 1988 album, remixed especially for this release. Liner notes are by author and journalist Kaya Savas and include a new interview with the composer and comments by director Barry Levinson. Sharp art design is by Dan Goldwasser.
