This deluxe release of Nino Rota's amazing score celebrates the 50th anniversary of the second film in arguably the greatest "Godfather" series of all time and its iconic music, with both films forever entrenched in our culture. Not only is the composer's artistic recreation and interpretation of the first film's legendary waltz and love themes, but the music of PART II is elevated by Rota's emotional new themes and explorations that enrich the film's epic essence. Of the eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Rota won Best Composition. Produced by Dan Goldwasser and Neil S. Balk, mixed from original multitrack material by Chris Malone, and mastered by Doug Schwartz, this 2-CD special release, limited to 5000 copies, contains previously unreleased and unused music, and was produced by Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope's approval. Disc 1 features the full score used in the film, including the world premiere release of Nino Rota's source music and additional music, and Disc 2 features the remastered original soundtrack album ver., source music, Carmine Coppola's music and rare Nino Rota demo recording is included!
