Description:
Morrissey's fourth solo work after the disbandment of The Smiths, "Vox All And I" (1994), has been revived after 20 years on an analog LP record with the latest remastered sound sources! Vox All And I" is Morrissey's fourth solo album. It was his second No. 1 album in the UK since "Viva Hate" and reached the Top 20 in the US as well. Compared to "Your Arsenal," which was a guitar-rock album, "Vox All And I," produced by Steve Lillywhite, has a more acoustic sound and his own sarcastic and introspective lyrics. During this period, Morrissey is said to have experienced the deaths of several people close to him, including Mick Ronson, the producer of the previous album, and these shadows also influenced the album. The songs were written with band members Alan White and Boz Buehler, and the album features a variety of characters. For example, the gorgeous "Now My Heart Is Full," which opens the album, quotes a character from Graham Greene's "Brighton Rock," and one song is taken from H. Melville's "Billy Budd. The first single from the album, "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get," reached #8 in the UK.The sixth song, "Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself," was later covered by The Killers.
