The album includes Bach's Suite for Unaccompanied Cello, Philip Glass's "13 Melodies for Saxophone," composed for the New York Theatre Workshop, Brooklyn-based composer and saxophonist Sherry Washington's Bach-inspired "MO' INGUS" by Brooklyn-based composer and saxophonist Shelley Washington, and a new "Hymn" with heavy notes written and performed by Posey herself, this is a great showcase of the instrument's tonal depth, technical perfection, and potential for a wide range of overtones! Based in Los Angeles, Pat Posey has performed extensively with renowned orchestras such as the San Francisco Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Washington National Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Los Angeles Philharmonic.He was invited to be the soloist for John Adams' saxophone concerto at the Prague Spring Festival, and has appeared in concerts at Carnegie Hall with Adams, Thomas Ades, Peter Eötvös, and Michael Tilson Thomas conducting their own compositions. 2023's film " Transformers: Beasts Awakening," he played tubax in the film music written by Jongnik Bontemps.
