Vincent Lardure (Vincent Lardel), known for the prestigious title of “Steinway Artist,” has been hailed by Germany’s *Neue Musikzeitung* as “one of the greatest pianists of our time.” He studied under Bruno-Leonard Gerber at the Lübeck University of Music in Germany and has won prizes at numerous competitions, including the Maria Canals Barcelona International Music Competition and the AMA Calabria International Music Competition. With a repertoire ranging from Scarlatti to Boulez, he is particularly passionate about Ravel and is known for his research into the scores once owned by Perlemuter, which contain the composer’s own annotations. His naturally colorful expressiveness is internationally acclaimed, and he has been well-received during his performances in Japan. He has also made numerous recordings, primarily for the ArsProduktion label, and has received awards such as the “Special Selection” from *Record Geijutsu*. This album, commemorating the 150th anniversary of Scriabin’s birth, spans from his early works—influenced by Chopin and Liszt—to his later works moving toward 20th-century modernism, with Vincent Lardure masterfully interpreting Scriabin’s life-spanning body of work. The final track features a piece based on sketches of Scriabin’s last unfinished work, “Acte prélable”—rediscovered by composer and musicologist Manfred Kerker—serving as a moving encore to this album.
