Dvořák with the Timos String Quartet! “Pianist” Christoph Eschenbach teams up with the Timos String Quartet—a French ensemble featuring Eiichi Chijiwa, associate concertmaster of the Orchestre de Paris—to perform Dvořák’s “Piano Quintet”! Since Eschenbach is currently extremely busy with his conducting career, opportunities to hear him perform as a pianist are limited; this Dvořák recording is sure to generate a great deal of buzz. The Timos String Quartet—whose name means “breath of the soul” in ancient Greek—is composed of members of the Orchestre de Paris, including Eiichi Chijiwa.
