The Electric Light Orchestra's 1974 album "Eldorado" reached a high of #16 on November 9, 1974, becoming ELO's first gold disc in the U.S. within one week of its release. It became a million-seller within a week of its release, and was ELO's first gold disc in the United States. Not only was it a commercial success, but it also fully realized Jeff Lynne's talent in terms of content and established the ELO sound.
