This is the 2025 4th album by 1914, a black/death/doom metal band from Ukraine. The album title means "in unity" in Latin and is the personal motto of Franz Joseph I of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. As in previous albums, the concept of World War I is maintained. However, this work goes one step beyond the direct depiction of "death and destruction" and focuses on the friendships and endurance that developed on the battlefield, and the emotions of those who survived the extreme conditions. In terms of sound, the album is based on the blackened ferocity of death metal, the grimness of doom metal, and ambient elements that reflect the atmosphere of the battlefield, while achieving a wider dynamic range than ever before. Guests include Aaron Stainthorpe (MY DYING BRIDE), HIGH PARASITE, Christopher Scott (PRECIOUS DEATH), and Jerome Reuter (ROME). It is the band's most dynamic and emotionally resonant work to date, a profound concept album that connects the historical facts of the battlefield with the inner workings of the human condition.
