Formed in 2008 around Daniele Giovannoni (drums/keyboards/vocals), the Italian progressive/post-rock band KARMAMOI releases their 2026 album! This is a limited-edition double-LP vinyl release. KARMAMOI has crafted a worldview with exceptional visual impact—much like a feature-length film—through the contrast between their robust and solid band sound, shaped by influences from hard rock and prog metal, and their atmospheric arrangements featuring synths and electronics that also draw on ambient and downtempo styles. Following *STRINGS FROM THE EDGE OF SOUND*—an unconventional release composed of new songs and re-arranged classics that fully incorporated orchestral arrangements to elevate the band’s expressive capabilities—this new album marks their first purely new release in five years. Through a fictional story that seems to dissect modern society— a story of love that transcends the barriers between the physical and the digital”—a fictional narrative that seems to cut to the heart of modern society. Through this story, the album poses the questions to listeners: “Can emotions exist beyond biological limits? And is love, after all, an ‘eternal mistake’?” It is a concept album—a genre in which the band excels. Drawing on the experience gained from their previous work, the album features grand orchestral arrangements and a powerful, resonant band sound that coexist within a cinematic soundscape, while the story—told through emotional vocals that candidly express the band’s introspective feelings—stirs the listener’s heart. This is a masterpiece where you can fully enjoy a highly immersive modern progressive sound reminiscent of Marillion and the K-Scope artists! Adam Holzman (key), a talented keyboardist active in bands such as JANEGETTER, PREMONITION, and TRIFECTA, appears as a guest on “Hero,” while Randy McStine (g)—who has served as a touring guitarist for PORCUPINETREE in addition to his work with INCONTINUUM and THE FRINGE, as well as serving as a touring guitarist for PORCUPINE TREE, makes a guest appearance on “Nothing But.”
