Lisa worked in a concentration camp in Auschwitz during World War II. After the war ended, she became a diplomat's wife and was on a ship to Brazil. There she meets a woman, "Marta," who has the appearance of a woman who was sent to the gas chambers in the concentration camps. Recalling the nightmarish life she lived at the time, Lisa gradually becomes psychotic and tormented by visions.... For Weinberg (1919-1996), a Polish-born composer active in Russia, the story of "Pasazelka" (traveler), on which this opera is based, must have been of great interest. The story deals with the Jews during the Holocaust, and the experiences of Posmuisi, who barely survived the concentration camps, overlap with those of Weinberg, who lost his entire family to the persecution. However, the opera was never performed during the Soviet era, and it was not until ten years after his death that it was performed in concert form (Moscow), and finally had its world premiere at the Bregenz Festival in 2010.Please also look out for the much-talked-about conductor Kurrenzis conducting the concert.
