Although any production of this work is bound to have its share of criticisms, such as "anachronistic" and "not reflecting the correct image of Japan," the story depicted here is a universal one, and the psychology of a woman waiting for the love of her life is accurately and sadly depicted. It is a tragic love story that will be handed down forever as it accurately depicts the psychology of a woman who is waiting for the love of her life. This video was recorded at a performance in Hamburg in 2012. The leading role of Butterfly is played by young soprano Alexia Vulgariadou, who gives the role a stylish and contemporary fleshing out. The role of Pinkerton was played by the Romanian tenor Ilincai, who brought a strong shadow of anguish to the supposedly cool-headed man. The worldview created by Bussard and the costumes by Christian Lacroix, a famous designer, together with the music spun by conductor Alexander Joel, create a carefully put together and beautiful world.
