Unreleased recordings from an obscure Italian hard rock band active in the early 70s have been unearthed after over 50 years!! Featuring guitarist Goran Tavcar (g), who also played with KAMELEONI, a leading beat/psychedelic rock band from the former Yugoslavia, and funk band BOOMERANG; Euro Cristiani (drs), who backed Italian pop singer Patrick Samson; Paolo Bassi (b), who still performs with various jazz groups today.Their activities, vanishing from the scene without leaving any recorded work, remain largely unknown even today, relegating them to forgotten figures in history. However, recordings believed to have been made by them between '72 and '73 have recently been unearthed and restored by Mauro Degrassi—the same man behind the discovery and release of JACULA's lead vocalist's unreleased work, 'SABBA'. restored by Mauro Degrassi, who also unearthed and released the unreleased work 'SABBA' by JACULA's lead vocalist. These recordings are finally being released for the first time in 2025 through Black Widow Records, a label renowned for reissuing and discovering classic Italian prog albums from the 70s! As the label info suggests, this recording vividly captures a band sound driven by dirty fuzz guitars and high-pitched vocals, blending a proto-metal sound reminiscent of BLACK SABBATH (evoking names like IL ROVESCIO DELLA MEDAGLIA and GARYBALDI) with the twisted developments and occult mood characteristic of Italian rock.In terms of sheer speed alone, it surpasses the two aforementioned bands. While it possesses dramatic tension through masterful dynamics incorporating doom-metal-esque downtempo sections, its refusal to awkwardly veer into progressive territory compared to those bands leaves its raw, aggressive nature exposed—making its musicality utterly thrilling.
