Mike Bloomfield, one of the greatest blues-rock guitarists of all time, recorded his first solo album "IT'S NOT KILLING ME" in 1970 after "The Fillmore West Forever" and the musicians on this album are almost the same as those on the live recordings. The lineup includes Nick Gravenites, Mark Naftalin, and John Kern. Although he is a blues guitar prodigy who has been known as a blues guitarist in many of his works, his first solo album finally breaks new ground with a loose and relaxed sound based on his wide range of musical backgrounds. Live at the Old Waldorf, released in 1998, was recorded live at the Old Waldorf nightclub in San Francisco from December 1976 to May of the following year, when the band played there almost every weekend. This is a valuable source to enjoy Mike's relaxed sweet blues not only as a guitarist but also as a singer.
