Oscar Hernandez is one of the most important figures in the world of contemporary salsa and Latin jazz. His latest release is a full-length album with his own ensemble. All of the music is written by Oscar himself.The band will be led by longtime US saxophonist Justo Almario, who has played in the US music scene with such artists as Mongo Santamaria, Tito Puente, John Lucian, and Freddie Hubbard, as well as Jimmy Brumley, a drummer who also played in NG La Banda, and bassist Jorge Perez, who has visited Japan as part of the Aroldo Lopez Nuzza Trio. The group will be joined by top-notch L.A.-based musicians such as Jimmy Brumley, a drummer who also played in NG Labanda, and bassist Jorge Perez, who once visited Japan as a member of the Alordo Lopez Nusa Trio,The ensemble is sharp, sophisticated, and superb!
