German heavy metal band SACREDSTEEL’s second album, originally released in 1998, has been reissued by BACKONBLACK. Following their debut album *Reborn in Steel*, this release came out on Metal Blade Records and is known as the album that solidified the band’s presence amid the traditional heavy metal revival of the late 1990s. This album takes the aggressive style of their debut even further, delivering straight-ahead heavy metal centered on fast-paced riffs and raw vocals. The songs, built on sharp guitar riffs and heavy rhythms, feature a powerful sound influenced by 1980s US power metal and speed metal, emphasizing a more combative and epic atmosphere. Gerrit P. Mützelt’s distinctive, raw vocals remain intact, shaping a metal sound brimming with raw energy. The lyrics center on classic heavy metal themes such as warriors, war, and mythological worldviews, unfolding a heroic narrative centered on the "Gods of Metal," as the album title suggests.
