LE ORME, one of Italy's most renowned rock bands, formed in Venice in the late 60s as a beat/psychedelic rock band by Nino Smeraldi (g) and others. Despite numerous lineup changes, breakups, and shifts in style, they remain active today, centered around Michi Dei Rossi (drs), a member since the 60s. A 3-CD set capturing rehearsals for their "Trilogia 1971-1973" tour, which recreates the content of their acclaimed albums 'COLLAGE', 'UOMO DI PEZZA', and 'FELONA E SORONA'. The three-disc CD set, released in 2025 by Italy's Hi-Qu Music, captures rehearsals for the "Trilogia 1971-1973" tour, which recreates the content of these albums. Performed by the current lineup, including recent additions Luca Sparagna (vocals/bass) and Aligi Pasqualetto (keyboards), this release faithfully covers the content of the aforementioned three albums, albeit in a partially shortened medley format.While staying true to the original version, this dramatic and symphonic arrangement leverages the strength of the twin keyboard setup—where Hammond organ, synth, and piano complement and harmonize with each other to create a rich ensemble—updating the classic LE ORME style to a contemporary sound. It's a masterpiece that will surely bring tears of joy to any band or Italian rock fan. Luca Sparagna's vocals, brimming with a soulfulness reminiscent of Aldo Tagliapietra, and Michi Dei Rossi's powerful drumming, showing no signs of decline, are truly remarkable. By adopting a rehearsal format rather than a simple re-recording, they also showcase their vitality as a live act. This is an essential album for all Italian rock fans!
