Description:

Drummer who is also a top-notch session musician and has played back-up for many artists including KING CRIMSON/PORCUPINE TREE as well as solo/projects, released his '97 solo debut album on Squatter Madras Records in the UK. His 1997 solo debut album, released on Squatter Madras Records in the UK, is now available on Kscope in the UK on CD and in a remastered '21/180g heavy vinyl limited edition to commemorate the 25th anniversary of its release! The band is led by Dave Stewart (key), formerly of EGG/HATFIELD & THE NORTH/NATIONAL HEALTH who backed Stewart & Gaskin, Jakko Jakszyk (key/g/vo) who currently works with KING CRIMSON, PORCUPINE TREE colleague Richard Barbieri (key), the late Mick Karn (b) and other JAPAN members, as well as former 64 SPOONS/LEVEL 42 member Lyndon Baker (key). Lyndon Connah (key) and Heitor Pereira (g) of LEVEL 42,Ian Kirkham (woodwind) also produced and released this album with new and old SIMPLY RED members (due to the recording time, 'Witness (reprise)' was cut and the order of the songs was partially changed). As can be seen from the fact that the album was released during the period when he was active as a back-up for big-name cantatore musicians such as Claudio Baglioni and the late Franco Battiato, he showed his career as a talented session musician and his diverse abilities and musicality without regret. While he plays technical Jazz/Fusion music that showcases his skill as a drummer, he also shows off a musicality that is not a simple one, with a variety of approaches ranging from world/ethno to ambient/electro, as evidenced by the participation of the Japan group. This is a record that demonstrates the outstanding talent that has led to his current success, and not just as a drummer. A previously unreleased track, 'Iron Horse', has been added as a bonus.
